I am hoping to be proven wrong and cheap PSO2 Meseta that I know that it will take time transferring stuff over, but when this really is really a F2P, I just hope they understand their status in the western market when already a good chunk of fans knows the JP servers are filled to the brim with articles, and that they don't do any severe P2W components.
If you wish to optimize raid dps also the Force consumer, one course, needs a skill tree. It is not necessary but it's the only class really affected by enemy element resistance/weakness because it is the only one with a choice of a skill construct for 2 distinct elements. You don't need to pay for anything if you want to play merely one of the two damage types (physical / magical) optimally but if you want to play a greater number at endgame and care about optimizing, it sucks that you are forced to purchase the pet slot despite the game differently lacking any p2w features. It doesn't cost much.
I played at release for awhile(such as a month and a half about) before quitting because of latency. I've a unknown number of hours in PSO on it iterations, and I wish to state before putting down that I clocked around 310 hours. So context given, I had a lot of fun with it. It felt forward mechanically and aesthetically, and with what I played, seemed to learn from PSU's mistakes? Now of course there's been a slew of updates since then I can not really vouch for this obviously, but at least the core of the sport was great pleasure, surely in the soul of this PSO family. Remember they've stated you will not be able to transfer your character(s) from the JP server to the new western ones.
PSO2 JP has only since release with the removal of some really stupid RNG progression elements. The game looks bad as Android and Vita hardware is targeted by it but it's serviceable. Also, games like Dragon Hunter World, Destiny, and Warframe have come out there are much newer PSO-likes. The thing about PSO2 is the way large-scale and great that the collaborations are in comparison to other games. We do not know whether the Western variant will find all the collabs which might well kill the match because this is not 2001 where a Japanese MMORPG might have articles disparities and get away with it. So time will tell, they have been deceitful and vague about this.
Needing to cover ability tree foliage stinks. I know someone is going to reply to the with"just wait for a free reset lol" but no I am not going to wait for SEGA to release a balance patch just so I can reset my skill tree, that's fucking dumb. I really don't know when that's going to take place. As a beginner you go up look assembles for your class ASAP until you fuck up your ability tree. Mags are dumb since they are that are meant to buy meseta pso2 boost cash shop revenue since you can not reset your Mag's stats.
