There aren't any present day plans for a Rocket League 2, regardless of – or perhaps, due to – the big achievement of the authentic recreation, which debuted Rocket League Items three years in the past today. Developer Psyonix has stated the group plans to continue developing for and helping Rocket League, and considers it a “sport as carrier.”

Rocket League game director Scott Rudi informed GameSpot  that Psyonix is treating Rocket League as a platform, growing new content along with new recreation modes and hats as opposed to searching in the direction of a sequel.

Rudi’s feedback echo what we heard from Jeremy Dunham, Psyonix’s vp of publishing, when he spoke to GamesIndustry a 12 months ago. At the time, he said Rocket League could keep to expand with updates for years, as opposed to see a sequel.

And that technique seems to have labored.
